The YDT-2 is a self-propelled thermoplastic convex (rumble / vibration) line marking machine built to lay raised thermoplastic markings that actively alert drivers. When a vehicle runs over the raised profile, its wheels produce a rumble and vibration that warns fatigued or inattentive drivers to keep their lane or slow down — a proven safety measure that can cut accident rates on treated sections by more than 30%. Compared with ordinary flat lines, convex markings also deliver superior retroreflection on rainy nights.
The YDT-2 drives itself in both forward and reverse through a hydraulic, infinitely variable transmission — no manual pushing required, with strong traction and high construction efficiency. A central microcomputer control system with an English touch-screen interface lets the operator set the convex (protruding) height and spacing freely, so a single machine handles many line patterns and is easy to upgrade. It lays the flat baseline and the raised profile in one pass.
The marking hopper is built from special high-temperature-resistant, corrosion-resistant material that will not warp or stick, and is fitted with a hard-alloy bottom blade on an eccentric-sleeve movable design for clean, even edges. A safety warning lamp and a night-working spotlight come standard, keeping the crew visible and safe during roadside operation.
